Elections
Municipal elections are held in Ontario every four years and the next election will take place on Monday, October 24, 2022. Casting a ballot or submitting nomination papers are ways for citizens to become more involved and make a difference in their community. There are other key dates in the municipal election process for candidates and voters to be aware of, such as nomination day, declaration of acclamations or voting day.

Unofficial Results
A recount was requested to Council under Section 57(1) Municipal Elections Act, 1996 and heard at the November 1st, 2022 Council meeting. Council passed a resolution for a recount on the votes between candidates John Britten and Terry Currie . The recount was held November 3, 2022 and the results are indicated in the link - Declaration of Recount Results
Nomination period begins May 2nd and ends 2:00pm August 19, 2022
